Japan to become an oil-rich country thanks to algae!?
Japan might lose nuclear power plants, but instead it may become a big oil-producing country・・・・・
One Internet information says that Prof.Shin WATANABE, Tsukuba University, and his team has discovered an alga, which can very effectively produce oil out of organic matters.
If you feed the algae in reservoirs of 20 thousand hectars (please note that Japan has about 400 thousand deserted arable land), then Japan will be able to do away with its oil import. Furthermore, the price will be cheap; for one gallon about 2 dollars.
So Japan will be able to build a golden cycle: food⇒ sewage⇒ algae⇒ oil. Will it be counted in the Kyoto Protocol?
(Please do not consider that I am getting out of my senses because of tsunami and others. The news above may simply mean that those professors have found out how the oil is created from ancient times)
